Yellow rain falling in Armavir
The yellow dust and rain have raised serious concerns in Armavir Province. Schoolchildren were sent home in the villages of Norapat and Noravan as allegations spread that that a blast occurred in the Metsamor-based Nuclear Power Plant.
Later, the yellow dust was said to have been caused by a local factory.
Meteorologists say that the mudy rains and yellow dust brought by the wind from Arab states, will stop on Thursday, April 21.
Muddy rain has been pouring down in Tbilisi since early morning causing major inconveniences for local residents whose cars, clothes and umbrellas are covered with yellow spots.
Earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations said no accidents in were reported Armenian enterprises, thus dismissing the reports that the yellow dust was caused by a breakdown.
