Mayor Oreja met Catholicos
Support A1+!His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received Vice-Chairman of the Group of the European People's Party in the European Parliament, Mayor Oreja at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
The Supreme Patriarch mentioned that the processes of globalization and various foreign phenomena are infringing upon the society's sane perceptions of religion and life that have been hinged on Christian values for centuries. The Catholicos of All Armenians affirmed that only through the formation of a strong moral-spiritual system of values will it be possible to overcome all types of challenges and difficulties.
In his turn, J. M. Oreja spoke about the need for restoring conventional values in Europe, mentioning that the spiritual leaders of the Christian Church have a great role in making Christian values presentable in Europe once again. In that regard, Oreja attached great importance to the dialogue between churches.
