Turk photographer Attila Durak is presenting his photos at the Center for Innovative Experimental Art in Armenia.

The heroes of his photos are representatives of 44 different ethnic groupings living in Turkey among which there are Armenians. The photos were taken in Anatolia and have been shown in several countries. According to Durak, exhibiting his photos in Armenia will create a small bridge between both nations.

"Art has the force of initiating dialogue. We believe that the two nations split apart after the tragic events of the past century will recognize and understand each other by leaving prejudice aside," said the Turk photographer.

The photographer says he has another purpose besides showing the lifestyle of ethnic minorities living in his homeland.

"There is an issue of recognition. The Turks must know who is living with them and this is a means of making everyone understand in a civilized manner," said Attila Durak.

Armenians will have a chance to view the Turk photographer's works at the Center for Innovative Experimental Art for a month.
