"We shall soon meet to settle the score. I shall slit your throat." two Jehovah's Witnesses told Ter Yesayi Artenyan, a clergyman of the Armenian Apostolic Church on May 15.

Today Priest Ter Yesayi Artenyan told journalists that he has already lodged an action on the incident.

The argument broke out yesterday morning as Priest Ter Yesayi Artenyan, the spiritual pastor at the Holy Trinity church in Yerevan's Malatia-Sebastia district, tried to prohibit two members of the denomination from distributing flyers and proselytizing on the church grounds. During the quarrel, one of the young men grasped the priest's cell phone, and hit the priest when the latter tried to take the phone back. Afterwards, he fled away.

Priest Ter Yesayi Artenyan and Abbot Ter Komitas Hovnanyan, who witnessed the incident, say sectarian organizations are enlarging their activities in crowded places to attract parishioners of the Armenian Church.

They clergymen argue that the Church needs protection although representatives of sects continue to state that their rights are violated.
