Is suicide the only solution?
Grave socio-psychological situation is one of the main reasons for suicide, says psychologist Elda Green. In most cases, people commit suicide to attract attention.
"People should feel that they have a place under the sky. They should not feel as aliens or strangers in the society. Social disintegration has deepened in our society and creates an unhealthy environment," said Elda Green.
Reasons for suicide may differ from one age group to another. People need guarantees for prosperous future in order to keep their survival hopes alive.
"We can not persuade people that a brilliants future is awaiting them; they need evidence," said the psychologist.
To this end, it is highly important that people be more attentive to their relatives and loved ones.
"Many contemplate over this before putting an end to their lives. They take the decision only after becoming convinced that all doors are closed before them," the psychologist stressed.
