Pan-Armenian Forum in September
The organizing committee of the "Pan-Armenian Forum of Representatives of Diaspora Armenian Organizations and Heads of Communities" held a session today.
The forum is devoted to the perspectives of the Armenia-Diaspora partnership, the perfection of mechanisms for strengthening that partnership, as well as the search for new styles and methods of working.
The forum's organizing committee is chaired by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan. Among members are representatives of the RA Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education and Science and Culture, the RA Police, the Chief Department of RA Civil Aviation, as well as representatives of Diaspora Armenian structures and organizations.
The committee discussed the forum's primary goals that are related to Armenians' issues, unity and issues of national concern, which include a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict; international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide; the fight against assimilation in the Diaspora [education, culture, family, language]; a higher role of the Armenian Church and consolidation of all Armenians around the Church; economic development, strengthening and ensuring the security of Armenia and Artsakh), as well as the organizing committee's organizational issues.
The forum will be held by the RA Ministry of Diaspora on September 19-20 in accordance with the RA Government's Resolution N 111-N adopted in January 2011.
