Died after shooting
Today the RA Police received an alarm that an anonymous person presented himself as a water service employee and tried to enter one of the apartments located in building #16 on Yeghpayrutyan Street in Yerevan.
Since there have been several bandit attacks under the name of water service employees from April to June this year, particularly three in the Kentron district, two in Malatia-Sebastia and one in Avan, Arabkir and Ajapnyak communities, police officers suspected that this last incident was one of the above mentioned cases.
Police officers immediately followed the trace and persecuted the suspect, who had shot a police officer near "Garegin Nzhdeh" metro station. The police took the gun after firing a shot.
The suspect was transferred to "Erebuni" medical center where he underwent an operation, but died after he lost consciousness.
Police officers found out that the suspect was Arman Yengibaryan (born in 1981).
Details are still being cleared up. Preliminary investigation is underway.
