Former rector reelected
Aram Simonyan today was reelected rector of Yerevan State University with 60 votes for, 7 against and 2 invalid ballots during the vote held with the participation of the YSU Council's 72 members.
According to his appeal, YSU incumbent rector, correspondent for the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, doctor of historical sciences, professor Aram Simonyan had resigned in May and had been appointed acting rector.
Aram Simonyan was the only candidate. He was first elected YSU rector in 2006 and had held the post of YSU pro-rector before that.
