Action participants in outrage
Demonstrators gathered near the government building today said they were very frustrated with Serzh Sargsyan's speech at the PACE yesterday.
"He declared that Armenia protects human rights, but that is not the case," says former resident of 5 Buzand Street, Knarik Arakelyan. Arakelyan says the compensation for her territory used for state needs was not enough for her to purchase an apartment and she is currently staying with one of her friends.
Arakelyan and other residents of the sale zone consider this a violation of their rights. They haven't achieved any success in the past 7 years.
The disabled pilots were standing on the other side of the government building with the demand for payment of pensions. The former pilots say their pensions weren't compensated after the liquidation of Armenian Airlines.
Razmik Gasparyan is certain that Serzh Sargsyan isn't aware of anything and if he was, the issue would have been solved.
Those gathered in front of the government building are rest assured that the government is intentionally postponing the payment of their pensions because they know that the pilots will die in a matter of years.
"Our job made us disabled and now nobody needs us," say the pilots, adding that no government official wants to listen to them.
