Construction to be carried out in the territory of artificial lake
Construction is planned to start in the territory of an artificial lake at 59 Tigran Mets, Yerevan Municipality said in a written reply to A1+'s inquiry concerning the fate of the former lake.
On July 20 A1+ referred to Lake Erebuni which has turned into a dump. Only the stone tablet left on the site by constructors reminds of the existence of a lake.
Today the lake has become a - a wasteland littered with debris, which causes anxiety and concerns among residents.
In its response, the Municipality said that the area is owned by several entities. The Mayor's Office is presently drafting a comprehensive development project, which includes restoration of the lake and landscaping.
