During its ensuing session, the state admissions commission for the 2011-2012 academic year has decided to allocate a free spot at Yerevan State University for the Yezdi community out of the reserve spots foreseen for ethnic minorities. The session was headed by president of the commission, RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan.

According to press release of the Ministry of Education and Science, the issues on the agenda were related to the results of university admissions this year, the discrepancies of documents submitted by applicants that have graduated from public schools abroad and the appeals filed by citizens.

Taking into account the low number of first-year students and the university rectors' suggestions, the admissions commission discussed the issue of forming groups for a number of professions that have not been added. The commission decided to solve the issue by taking into account students' opinions and the opportunities provided by legislation.
