More difficult to move from car station to the center

Social

It has already been two months since passengers coming from Gegharkunik and Tavush provinces to Yerevan are dropped off at the sidewalk in front of the Northern Car Station instead of the sidewalk in front of Yeritasardakan Metro. There is no bus stop or a cover. They have a hard time making it to the city with their luggage. Some take taxis, while some move from one bus to the next and spend more money.

Resident of Sevan, Mrs. Anush doesn't even know which bus reaches Yerevan. "I don't know how I will get there. It's very bad for people living in Sevan."

Lyusya Poghosyan spends twice as much to reach Sevan from Avan distrit. "It's hard and the road is dangerous. They bring us halfway, and then tell us to go to Yerevan however we see fit. People are very indifferent," Mrs. Lyusya said.

Head of the Northern Car Station Karen Mirzakhanyan told "A1+" that it was initially decided that passengers would be dropped off at this station.

"For some reason, the routes lead to the center of the city. The mayor is removing these routes to clean the city. These routes have been changed to the initial spots," the head of the station said.

There is no passageway or a bus stop in front of the car station, and passengers have to wait for taxis under the sun. Karen Mirzakhanyan said it is foreseen to create conditions for passengers, build a small bridge so that they can easily move from one side to the next.
