Mother commits suicide, children survive
A family of three committed a suicide attempt in the Armenian city of Dilijan on Sunday.
Gayane Mnatsakanyan, a mother of two children, committed suicide by hanging herself with a rope in her apartment. Mnatsakanyan's daughter M. Martirosyan, 23, and son E. Martirosyan, 25, made suicide attempts cutting their veins.
No traces of violence were found on Mnatsakanyan's body. Torn-out pictures and broken images of Jesus Christ were scattered around the scene.
A criminal action has been instituted in the Police Dilijan Department under Article 110 (part 1) of the Armenian Criminal Code.
An investigation is in progress.
