Still searching in the zone
Rescuers have been searching for five people lost after the huge landslide that took place at the border of Tavush and Lori provinces.
Head of the press department of the Rescue Service at the Ministry of Emergency Situations Nikolay Grigoryan told "A1+" that there are 3 million cubic meters of soil and it is impossible to achieve any outcome in four or five days.
Brothers Armen, 38, and Mekhak Sorsumatyan, 47, resident of Ltchkadzor village Norik Mirzoyan, 72, citizens of Georgia Gurgen Hakobyan, 62 and his son Artur Hakobyan, 19, are considered lost.
Out of the 35 cars and trucks left under the landslide, 14 have been brought out, while the rest remain under the land.
Another 31 rescuers have arrived at the scene of the incident from Kotayk province.
Geologists are conducting studies at the site and will give a conclusion stating the reason behind the landslide tomorrow.
On October 2, a landslide took place in the Vanadzor-Bagratashen sector at the 86th kilometer of the M6 interstate highway, leaving the road closed.
