Iran-Armenia visa regime to be lifted?
There is a need to lift the Iran-Armenia visa regime, according to Iranian Foreign Minister Salehi. Salehi is on an official visit to Yerevan.
During a joint press conference with Edward Nalbandyan, Salehi mentioned that Iran was interested in developing and expanding its relations with Armenia. He voiced hope that the two countries would declare the visa regime as invalid and that citizens' mobility would be as free as within their own countries.
The Iranian foreign minister informed that 100,000 Iranian tourists visit Armenia every year and predicted that that number would reach the one-million mark in the future.
