Property of “Hraparak” newspaper under arrest
"Hraparak" daily's bank accounts are no longer frozen. The court of general jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash districts today ruled to arrest the newspaper edition's property after hearing "Hraparak" daily's petition. The daily appealed the decision that the same court took yesterday and petitioned to either consider the ruling on the freeze of the bank accounts or change the order of appeals.
Let us remind that the court took such a decision based on the appeal filed by lawyer Artur Grigoryan. The lawyer says the six comments that readers left under the article posted on the newspaper's website in August had hurt his honor and dignity and that he demanded 18 million dram compensation from the newspaper edition.
The court accepted "Hraparak"'s arguments according to which the freeze of the edition's bank accounts would impede the newspaper's publication.
