Armenian National Congress activist Tigran Arakelyan's attorney Stepan Voskanyan has submitted a petition to the Special Investigative Service to release Arakelyan.

Stepan Voskanyan told "A1+" that he also had filed a petition to stop criminal persecution of young activists Sargis Gevorgyan, David Kiramijyan, Artak Karapetyan and Tigran Arakelyan.

We remind that the boys were arrested after the clash between the ANC activists and the police near Swan Lake on August 9. They were charged with applying force against a state authority and hooliganism, but arrest was chosen as a precautionary measure against Tigran Arakelyan only. The preliminary inquiry of the case ended on November 3.

"If the petition is denied, we will appeal to the Prosecutor General," Stepan Voskanyan told "A1+".

Let us mention that the criminal case was split, and the Special Investigative Service still has the case related to Vahagn Gevorgyan, Areg Gevorgyan and Sahak Muradyan.
