No answers for mothers in black again
Emma Karapetyan had been waiting for the RA Minister of Defense near the RA Government building since early this morning. Her son has served in the Armenian Army, but he doesn't have military registration to this day, and she can in no way meet with the Minister of Defense. Today, she was finally able to see him.
However, Seyran Ohanyan tried to justify himself and said: "Did I say I wouldn't meet with you? Come to my office after the government session," the minister told the woman.
It became clear that Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan had received the aunt of Narek Galstyan, who had been killed in the army in peace, or according to the official version, had committed suicide and promised her that he would reveal the real reasons behind Galstyan's death.
The parents of the other soldiers who were killed or committed suicide according to the official version were discontent.
Robert Mirzoyan, father of Gegham Sergoyan who died in the army, told "A1+" that there had been distortions in his son's "illness story", and that the Ministry of Defense and the Prosecutor's Office don't take that into account.
Military prosecutor Gevorg Kostanyan's latest statement had also offended the parents of the dead soldiers.
"In his statements, Gevorg Kostanyan declares that gathering in front of the government building has nothing to do with the murders of the parents' children," according to Suren Ohanjanyan, father of soldier Tigran Ohanjanyan who committed suicide in the army according to the official version.
After the government session, Minister of Justice Hrair Tovmasyan answered questions related to his sphere, while the questions of the action participants remained unanswered.
"I am aware of all issues, but giving solutions to those issues is not in my competence," Hrair Tovmasyan said.
During today’s protest near the government building, the police had surrounded ANC activist Vardges Gaspari so that he wouldn’t have a chance to get into contact with any government official.
