New Seven Wonders of Nature announced
The contest for the New Seven Wonders of Nature held in Zurich drew to an end.
The Swiss New Seven Wonders Foundation headed by Bernard Weber yesterday summed up the results of the contest.
According to provisional information, the winners are the Amazon Rainforest, Halong Bay in Vietnam, Iguazu Waterfall in Argentina/Brazil, Jeju Island in South Korea, Komodo National Park in Indonesia, Puerto Princesa Underground River in the Philippines and Table Mountain in South Africa.
We remind that the contest for the New Seven Wonders of Nature was declared two years ago in July 2009 by the Swiss New 7 Wonders Foundation. The contest organizers had been presented with 440 sites worth seeing in 220 countries.
