A U.S. citizen, who turned out to be a former candidate running for governor of Arizona Carey Dolego, was found at the place where the homeless gather at one of the railway stations in Ukraine.

The crouching man with a high temperature was found by volunteers of People's Help NGO, reports "Komsomolskaya Pravda".

The volunteers were surprised to see the "homeless" intellectual with high English proficiency, a laptop and a fine costume in his luggage.

Carey Dolego showed the volunteers his passport and submitted to them.

The American scientist came to Ukraine in May 2011 to share his knowledge of innovative methods to fight against aerial and marine disasters with local scientists.

Falling in love with his job, the American scientist didn't realize that his bank card was frozen, and the landlord threw him out of his apartment.

After that, the citizen of Arizona kept staying at stations and became a member of the "family" of homeless people.

Doctors have diagnosed him with tuberculosis in the heaviest stage, and the scientist has recuperated after spending long days at the reanimation department.

Why didn't the U.S. citizen appeal to the U.S. Embassy? In response, he said: "If I did, the embassy would immediately buy me a ticket and send me home, and I would never see Ukraine again. I am needed here."

His only request from the U.S. Embassy is to restore his bank card.
