Lawsuit against investigator
The court will hear the complaint against the illegal acts of the investigator for the case related to the death of soldier Valeri Muradyan tomorrow.
The trial will be held at the court of general jurisdiction of Arabkir and Kanaker-Zeytun districts.
According to the official version, Valeri Muradyan committed suicide by hanging himself from a metal pole with rope on March 15, 2010.
The case was terminated, and in January 2011, the boy's mother, Nana Muradyan's several complaints led the Investigative Service of the Ministry of Defense to start an additional preliminary investigation.
After the restart of the preliminary investigation, police arrested the soldier that had been charged with slapping and humiliating Valeri Muradyan a year before the incident.
The criminal persecution against the soldier was suspended based on the National Assembly's' decision on amnesty.
According to the applicant, former investigator Arman Apresyan had not duly fulfilled his obligations and had committed several illegal acts.
