Philosophy and Mona Lisa
What is the philosophy of philosophy? This is what President of the Academy of Armenian Philosophy Georg Brutyan asked and answered by saying: "Philosophy is a sphinx with the smile of Mona Lisa. Her smile charms everyone, and the secrets remain unrevealed."
Today is International Philosophy Day, and on that occasion, a two-day philosophy symposium kicked off at the hall of the Faculty of Culture at the Armenian State Pedagogical University after Khachatur Abovyan today.
Special guest at the symposium was academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia, Director of the International Institute of Meta-philosophy, Logic of Transformation and Theory of Argumentation, President of the Academy of Armenian Philosophy Georg Brutyan.
Among participants of the symposium were students of the Department of Philosophy at the Pedagogical University.
"There will be discussions on how people view philosophy in the 21st century, philosophy and management, chess and philosophy, the opportunities that methodology provides for the logic of transformation and other topics related to philosophy. We will also print a philosophy magazine," Head of the Department of Philosophy at the Armenian State Pedagogical University Hasmik Hovhannisyan mentioned.
