Mayor gives urgent assignment
Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan has assigned the heads of all districts and corresponding structures to start working round-the-clock.
Due to the snow in Yerevan, he has assigned to mobilize the existing technical equipment and make sure that the roads are passable in case of heavy snowfall.
As part of the preparations for the winter, on November 18, there are already 287 special bulldozers, 747 tons of technical salt and 1789 cubic meters of sand for cleaning the snow in all districts of Yerevan, reports the department of information and public relations of Yerevan Municipality.
At this moment, the Ashtarak highway is frozen, the taxi drivers are making their way around the road and there has even been an accident.
