The premiere of renowned Armenian composer Tigran Mansuryan's "Requiem" was held in four German cities on November 19-25.

Even though the "Requiem" was ordered by the RIAS Chamber Choir and the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the composer has dedicated it to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide. The "Requiem" is written in Latin, but Tigran Mansuryan says it is Armenian due to the music.
"I decided to compose it in the Latin language because I was rest assured that Armenia should present itself to France, Russia or Germany through this text. Mastering the Armenian language will be a serious problem for the choirs."
