Will key witness bear testimony?
The Court of First Instance of Yerevan's Shengavit administrative district resumed the hearing in the case of Lieutenant Artak Nazaryan who was found dead in one of the border bases in Chinari villages, Tavush marz, on July 27, 2010.
Today the court will hear the witnesses in the case. Key witness Arman Mnatsakanyan, who served at the same military base as Nazaryan, will appear on the witness stand.
During the previous two sessions, Mnatsakanyan had difficulty in bearing bear testimony. At the last session, the defenders of the accused motioned that Mnatsakanyan be subpoenaed as a witness after being discharged from the military.
Mnatsakanyan was to have been discharged on Dec. 4, but so far he is in the army.
