Sadist mother-in-law arrested
Haykanush Mikayelyan was arrested after her flight from Moscow to Yerevan and has been taken to the Artashat police division.
Police told "A1+" that Haykanush Mikayelyan was charged with Articles 112 and 113 of the RA Criminal Code-"intentionally causing physical injury or causing damage that is dangerous to the health, or has caused loss of vision, speech, hearing or any organ or functioning of organs, or has been expressed through the perversion of the face."
Haykanush beat her daughter-in-law Mariam Gevorgyan viciously by burning her body with an iron, her tongue with a lighter, poking her body with a fork, breaking her nose, prohibiting her from taking a shower, washing up and always keeping her standing at a corner, as well as causing physical injuries and heavy psychological suffering.
Haykanush Mikayelyan's first daughter-in-law was also beaten this way and became visually impaired in the end. Both daughters-in-law had appealed to the police.
Haykanush Mikayelyan had been persecuted by the Artashat police division since January 21 and was charged with Article 112 (2) of the RA Criminal Code.
