Wings of Tatev shifts to winter regime
The Wings of Tatev, the world's longest reversible passenger aerial tramway shifted to winter regime on December 20, according to head of the cableway Tigran Ghazaryan.
The cableway was equipped with special electronic and mechanical systems to resist seasonal changes (winds, humidity) in Syunik Marz.
Experts of the Swiss Garaventa-Doppelmayr company have carried out annual technical inspection and maintenance work. They concluded that the cableway is in excellent technical condition and is ready to serve people in the coming years," said the director.
The cableway will work till December 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in January and February the cableway will operate only at weekends from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
