Body with traces of assault
On January 9 at 13:30, a 23-year old man called the Ararat police division and informed that he had found the body of 73-year old Ashot Melikyan, who lived in the Urtsadzor village by himself.
An examination showed that there were traces of many wounds caused by sharp objects.
After examining the scene of the incident, police revealed a bloody knife and scissors, 400,000 drams in the pocket of Melikyan's jacket, as well as gold and silver jewels under Melikyan's bed.
The details are being cleared up.
Preliminary investigation is underway.
