The "Putin Clan" has become the world's wealthiest family, according to The Sunday Times and the Czech Lidove Novini. The newspapers say Vladimir Putin has accumulated more than 130 billion dollars throughout his term in office.
The Russian Prime Minister and his family have capital that is 56 billion dollars more than the actives of Forbes magazine's official director, Mexican magnate, telecommunication expert Carlos Slim Elu, who has 74 billion dollars.
Newspapers also mention that Putin has successfully synchronized politics and business. "Putin managed to create a financial empire, which was mainly managed by his family and friends."
According to The Sunday Times and Lidove Novini, the main reason for Putin's desire to run for president is to maintain that wealth.
