Revolutionary state in Turkish mosques
The first deputy spiritual leader of Turkey has decided to create an environment that would tolerate and encourage women's presence at the mosque in Istanbul. From now on, women will be able to attend the mosques and pray with men.
Salamnews reports that women in Istanbul rarely attend mosques and that is why the places for women's prayers are mainly used as storage rooms.
The Turk clergyman's unprecedented decision has made pious Muslims break into a frenzy. However, ignoring their position, the spiritual leader has started working on creating a 30-member group that has to study all the mosques in order to accommodate the women.
