There are new details about the body of a woman found in Gyumri.

The body of the woman found in the basement of the former building of the Polytechnic Institute in Gyumri is the body of resident of Savoyan Street in Gyumri, Mary Davtyan (born in 1990).

"It is assumed that that could have been Mary Davtyan. She was recently considered missing," Head of the Investigative Department of Shirak regional police Karush Tovmasyan told GALA TV.

According to initial data, the young woman committed suicide by burning herself.

Mary Davtyan is a mother of two, and her youngest child is eight months old. According to sources, her family was in a heavy social state and Mari just recently lost her mother. The first to notice the body of the burnt woman was the guard at the former building of the Polytechnic Institute, Volodya Karapetyan, who was the one that called the police.

The ash and soil with a shining substance were confiscated from the area. What has to be made clear is whether she burned herself or not, or whether the woman's body burned on the spot or not and whether she was moved to the building after being burnt or not.

The body is 70 percent burnt and has been eaten by animals.
