Palestinian father locks daughter in bathroom for 9 years
Police in Palestine freed on Saturday a 20-year-old woman who had been locked by her father in the bathroom of their house for nine years.
The police found the woman while inspecting the home. Officers had heard shouts from the bathroom and upon opening the door found the young woman sprawled on the floor, next to a pillow and a blanket. The woman was reportedly in a terrible mental state.
The father admitted to police that his daughter had been locked in the bathroom since she was eleven, saying he did not want his daughter to live with his ex-wife.
The names of the father and daughter are not publicized.
The girl said her father used to beat her and threatened to kill her if she called for help. The girl said she wished to return to school.
The most interesting is that the girls' mother never reported about the crime committed by her ex-husband against her own daughter, Aksakal news agency reported.
