Eurovision: Who will represent Armenia in Baku?
Taking into consideration the particularity of Eurovision 2012, Armenian Public Television has taken the decision to hold the contest through a selection.
The contestant will be selected by a special commission established by the Council of the RA Public Television and Radio that includes musicians, television experts and music producers. Armenia's contestant at Eurovision 2012 and the song will be announced before March 18.
This year the contest will be held in Baku.
Another Eurovision
This year, for the first time ever, Armenian Public Television will participate in the Eurovision 2012 Contest for Young Musicians to be held in Vienna in May 2012. Among the participants will be Austria, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Germany, Greece, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia and Ukraine. This annual contest of 15-20-year old classical musicians is one of the large, annual contests of the European Broadcasting Union. The name of Armenia's representative will be announced before March 15, 2012.
