Gagik Tsarukyan has responded to the open letter on a planetarium sent by a group of scientists, educators and parents.

"Dear scientists, educators and parents. I am aware of your open letter. This is a right issue to raise, and I can't stay indifferent to the arguments in your letter. It is truly inadmissible to not have a planetarium in a country that has such great scientists in the sphere of astrophysics and astrology.

It is inadmissible that Armenian children and teachers should find out about the latest scientific technologies.

Our schoolchildren and university students always return with victories from the international Olympiads and different competitions, and Armenia should definitely have the latest scientific and educational technologies that they see abroad.

On different occasions, I have said that the world needs Armenia and it can present itself through its culture, science and sports.

We have brilliant youth and experts in all spheres. Our objective is to create opportunities for them to work and improve themselves in the homeland.

I thank you for your heartfelt attitude and for raising this issue.

I promise to donate a planetarium with the latest technologies with support from the Tsarukyan Foundation as soon as possible. I promise to attend the opening of the planetarium with my schoolchildren."

With respect,

Gagik Tsarukyan
