EBRD to support garbage disposal in Yerevan
During a meeting with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan attached importance to the cooperation with the EBRD and set aside the process of implementation of the Yerevan Metro Development Investment Program.
"I am aware that the bank is interested in cooperating with the municipality in other spheres as well. The municipality will accept all initiatives," the mayor mentioned.
Deputy Director of Community Programs of the EBRD Lin O'Gredi presented the programs that the EBRD plans on implementing with the municipality, including technical assistance to the city junkyard project, as well as the funding for city water disposal and the capital water supply system.
The mayor mentioned that both programs were a priority for the municipal economy and expressed willingness to discuss the plans and directions for cooperation through the working groups, reports the Department of Information and Public Relations of Yerevan Municipality.
