A mine explosion at the line of contact of the Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijani armed forces left 24-year old Azerbaijani officer Gurban Huseyinov wounded, ripping his leg.

Armenian presses, referring to the Azerbaijani Trend news agency, report that the incident took place in the "Gyulyustan village of the Geranbo region of Azerbaijan".

We inform that the "Gyulyustan village of the Geranbo region of Azerbaijan" is one of the villages of the Armenian Shahumyan region that was seized by the 4th Soviet army and the Azerbaijani OMON and has been occupied to this day.

We remind that after seizing Shahumyan, emptying its 12 villages, subjecting the region's population of 35,000 to massacres and deporting those who survived, the region was annexed to the neighboring Geranbo administrative territory.

We also remind that the historical Treaty of Gyulistan of 1812 was signed at the fortress of the "Gyulustan of Geranbo region" mentioned in the Armenian presses.
