Senators present new resolution

Social

U.S. Senators Robert Menendez (Democrat-New Jersey) and Mark Kirk (Republican-Illinois) have called on their fellow senators to join them in creating a new Resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide.

The Armenian Genocide Resolution, which will officially be presented to the U.S. Senate this month, is primarily similar to the Resolution presented by the U.S. House of Representatives, but it also recalls certain provisions stated in the document regarding the prevention and punishment of the crime of genocide that the U.S. presented to the International Court of Justice in 1951, reports Voice of America.
