Armavia pays off debt
RosAviatsia won't prohibit Armavia from organizing flights to Russia.
Today marked the deadline for Armavia Airlines to pay off the 178,000 dollar debt that the Russian company had granted Armavia in December 2011.
Armavia has completely paid off the debt and now has the chance to organize flights to Russia, Director of RosAviatsia Alexander Neradko told RIA Novosti news agency, mentioning that the airline company's current debt is 354,000 dollars.
On March 6, Armavia Airlines declared a workers' strike for an uncertain period and accused Zvartnots Airport for setting high prices for its services. In reality, RosAviatsia had prohibited Armavia from organizing flights to Russia due to the debt.
On the same day, the Armenian airline company's administration had sent a letter to the Russian side, promising to pay off the debt before March 20.
