“Agreement on Disobedience”
DECLARATION
Citizens of Armenia,
We, the participants of the brigades demolishing the structures at Mashtots Park, are fighting for the functioning of rule of law in our country. Those of us who believe that we can restore legitimacy at Mashtots Park through combined efforts and daring initiatives can join our initiative. To become a participant of the civil disobedience, you need to join the Agreement of Citizens on Disobedience.
Agreement of Citizens on Disobedience
1. The reason for our civil disobedience is the Armenian authorities' ignorance to the youth activists' protest against the structures arbitrarily built at Mashtots Park.
2. The goal of our civil disobedience is to not let the government believe that it has the right to be careless when it comes to its obligations and misuse the powers granted to it by the Constitution.
3. Civil disobedience is our means of relieving ourselves from the structures at Mashtots Park without violence.
4. The issue related to Mashtots Park is not a small issue. The authorities fear that if they cede now, they will have to cede again and again.
5. Each of us is joining the civil disobedience voluntarily. Each of us realizes all the risks that cause a threat to our lives, health, freedom and welfare.
6. Each of us takes the necessary accessories for actions of civil disobedience on his own.
7. Each of us is ready to suffer all the deprivations that will be caused by civil disobedience.
