Mayor plants tree
Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan on April 14 visited the Salvation Center NGO for disabled children and got acquainted with the organization's problems and activities. The center's director Arpine Vardanyan presented the priorities for improving the building's conditions, particularly the need for ramps.
"The disabled on wheelchairs are also in the municipality's focus. I have assigned to not confirm any construction project that lacks ramps for the disabled on wheelchairs. I have also assigned to build ramps at intersections for pedestrians,' said the mayor as he touched upon the municipality's programs aimed at solving issues concerning the disabled.
Taron Margaryan also assured that the municipality would support the center in solving the issues that were presented and in clarifying the legal status of the center's area.
The mayor also planted a tree in the center's yard, reports the Department of Information and Public Relations of Yerevan Municipality.
