Which robot will pass through the labyrinth?
The Union of Information Technology Enterprises announces the registration of the Line Following Robot 2012 contest within the framework of the ArmRobotics Open Championship. The contest is designed for those under the age of 20 and will be held on the UITE website until May 4.
"We attach special importance to the participation of schoolchildren and freshmen and sophomore students. The contest also serves as the best way of motivating the youth, reassessing and showing their capabilities," mentions CEO of UITE Karen Vardanyan.
During the contest, the participants will have to design and prepare a robot that passes through a labyrinth, finds all the dead ends and returns through the shortest route. The field (labyrinth) is a white platform with black and white lines and squares. The labyrinth has more than four dead ends, each of which can be a starting point for the robot.
