Open letter
Shirak Center NGO has sent a letter to RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan and Head of the State Cadastre Committee for Real Estate adjunct to the RA Government Yervand Zakharyan. We present the open letter below:
"Mr. Sargsyan and Mr. Zakharyan,
The draw for the provision of homes for families left homeless after the earthquake in Gyumri will start in 10 days. However, at the moment, 16 beneficiary families for three-bedroom homes have been left out of the list simply because, according to the false information regarding the members of those families provided by the state cadastre committee, each of those family members have right to property to homes and villas in Yerevan. when those families have been living in extreme conditions for 24 years and most of them survive by social benefits and simply can't reach Yerevan on their own to deny the information provided by the state cadastre committee.
As we present the list of the above mentioned 16 families in this absurd situation, we ask for your interference to check the information that the RA State Cadastre Committee provided, provide the verified information to the RA Ministry of Urbanization so that the commission takes an adequate decision and allows them to take part in the draw. Based on previous cases, we are certain that the facts regarding the properties of these families will be denied as well.
Since our last letter went unanswered, we are compelled to write an open letter to you and publish the lists of the above mentioned 16 families."
