Guy Richie "finds" Treasure Island
World renowned British film director Guy Richie will be participating in the new production of Robert Stevenson's film Treasure Island.
It appears that the director has seriously decided to be involved in producing films based on classic literature over the past couple of years. His film about Sherlock Holmes received a lot of positive feedback and brought him more than 1 billion dollars.
The project's screenwriter is Alex Harakis. It is known that there will be great emphasis on the relations between John Silver and Jim Hawkins, and it is still unclear as to when production will start.
Several films based on Stevenson's films have been produced since 1918, including the film Treasure Island starring mute film star Shirley Mason in 1920.
