Four hanged in public
Four Iranian citizens were executed in the city of Tehran by hanging in public, IRNA News Agency reports.
Deputy prosecutor-general and a police colonel were among the spectators who gathered in the square to watch them hanged. According to the Iranian judicial officials, all four men have been convicted of sexual assault, armed robbery and drug selling.
In Iran, many people are condemned to death and deprived of life for several reasons like carrying drugs, murder or political "crimes" and some of them are executed in public.
