The June 17 incident at the Harsnakar Restaurant is a malicious crime, Hovhannes Hunanyan, Deputy Head of the Armenian Police, said on Friday.

"Everyone engaged in the brawl shall be brought to justice," said the police official.

Seven people have been arrested in connection with the June 17 brawl at the restaurant complex. They are charged with committing an act of hooliganism and brutally beating the military doctors at the restaurant.

Hovhannes Hunanyan says more people may be arrested ‘if new facts are revealed.'

Asked why they began arrests after the press raised a terrible clamour over the incident, the police official said, "We did not arrest anyone given the interests of investigation."

Hovhannes Hunanyan says the incident at the restaurant shows another time that bodyguards should be police officers to exclude repetition of similar brawls with all their bad consequences.

As a result of the June 17 brawl at the Harsnakar Restaurant, military doctors Vahe Avetisyan and Artak Bayadyan were hospitalized with serious injuries. Doctor Garik Soghomonyan was transferred to the Central Military Hospital the next day with skull trauma. Doctors say that their health condition remains unchanged.
