Villages emptying in Armenia
"There was a time when a family of 45 people sat down for dinner together but now...," Sargis Arakelyan, headman of Vahravar village in Armenia's Syunik marz (province), said when telling story of his village.
Today the village has 25 permanent residents. There are no minor children in the village which is almost deserted today. There is no one to harvest the fruit from trees and prevent it from falling into the ground.
