RPA not to convene sittings until November
Construction work is underway in the central building of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), with different kinds of building materials, as well as construction waste and dust heaped up on each floor. New cables are being laid, too.
There is no member of RPA here, except for the builders. In the corridor, we saw a middle-aged man who told us that the construction work is scheduled to end in November.
Secretary of RPA faction Hovhannes Sahakian informed A1+ that the current construction work does not hinder their party's activities as RPA has various territorial structures.
In his words, the building is in a poor state of repair as it has not undergone repairs for a long time , while the fire that broke out in the building on May 22 caused further damage to it.
It should be mentioned that it was announced after the fire that only the roof was damaged.
Hovhannes Sahakian does not know how much has been allocated for the building's repairs. "It is not within my competence", he said in conclusion.
