YSU takes top position
Yerevan State University (YSU) is ranked as the best higher educational institution in South Caucasus in the rakings published by webometrics.info in July, 2012.
The site published ratings of about 20 700 universities in the world, with the YSU coming the 2050th in the list. The American University of Armenia comes second after the YSU, coming 2827 in the list.
The YSU is the 175th among the universities of Central and Eastern Europe.
Ilia Chavchavadze State University for Language and Culture was considered the best in Georgia and Qafqaz (Caucasus) University is the best in Azerbaijan. They take the 2537th and 5814th positions respectively.
