Citizen tries to prevent explosion of circus
The building of Yerevan Circus will be exploded today, preparations are underway. The correspondent of A1+ reports that there are policemen and employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) near the site. The adjacent roads are not yet closed to traffic; there are also two ambulance cars.
Armenian citizen Karen Harutyunyan has walked through the gates and entered the grounds of the Circus. He declared he doubts that the explosion is legal.
He demands that the law enforcers show the respective documents to prove that the decision is legal; otherwise he will not leave the grounds.
Head of Yerevan's Rescue Department, Colonel Mushegh Ghazaryan said that they have all the documents which will be presented a little later: MES has done everything so that the explosion will not affect the seismic resistance of the nearby buildings. He said once again that the explosion is carried out to build an underground car park under the circus building.
