License granting procedure changed
In order to receive a driving license, citizens are no longer required to submit a written application. Instead, after submitting the other necessary documents, they immediately will have his/her photo taken by a computer, which will confirm their application to the examination body. The government made this decision today.
To receive the right to drive a vehicle of a new category, citizens will no longer be required to take a theoritecal test
If a citizen has passed the qualification tests, the head of the examination body is no longer required to take a written decision on granting a driving license, renewing a licence, or, if the driving license was lost, issuing its copy, as the driving license will henceforth be considered an administrative act. A written decision shall be made only in case of a refusal to grant a license, to renew it, or to issue a copy instead of the lost one. A number of other requirements have been cancelled, with the aim of making the license granting procedure more transparent.
